All of the clamps!

Sometime one does a make, and it doesn’t quite work out. It is then remade with some changes, and then glued the wrong way round.

Oh well, third time lucky.

Gluing stuff often relies on clamping pressure, both to ensure a thin glue line for strength, and also correct alignment of the parts. So ‘all of the clamps’ are used.

Of course there are other methods, using jigs and moulds to spread the clamping force, but for a one time job the extra work of making jigs needs to be taken into account. I do think this might be a good excuse to buy more short clamps, at least until the next job that needs more long clamps….
